We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the New York Congregational Nursing Center. Key Responsibilities:- Assess resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Supervise and direct nursing staff, including licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants, to ensure that care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status, and implement established nursing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing to resolve grievances and address concerns from residents, family members, and staff.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment, and foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
- Review charting on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness, and maintain a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
- Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff, and track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Registered Nurse with current New York license.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Minimum two years' experience in long-term care or significant management experience in acute care.
- Current/active CPR certification.
- High level of professionalism, with ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with employees and vendors.
