Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy. As a Houseperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisors in performing their work more effectively and efficiently.
• Clean public areas to ensure hotel cleanliness standards are met.
• Perform monthly inventories of all supplies and notify the Executive Housekeeper of needed supplies.
• Mix and issue all cleaning agents as per policy and proper procedure.
• Keep the linen storerooms clean, stocked, and in order at all times.
• Deliver and pick up all other items that are available for guests' use, such as irons, ironing boards, cart tables, etc.
• Deliver rollaways and cribs to guest rooms, as requested, clean, and store same after they are used.
• Empties all trash into the dumpster.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in receiving and storing all new supplies and equipment.
• Restock linen carts and linen storerooms as needed.
• Litter pick-up in stairwells daily; sweep and mop stairwells twice weekly or more as needed.
• Clean lights in ceiling of corridors as needed.
• Assist Room Attendants with furniture moving and mattress flipping during deep cleaning.
• Shampoo carpet, strip, and wax floors throughout the hotel.
• Clean designated areas and back-of-house areas on hotel property.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with guests.
• Knowledge of cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, and able to walk stairs.
• Ability to lift and/or carry items as much as 75 pounds and pull and/or push as much as 500 pounds.
