Senior Installation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Installation Engineer to join our team in support of the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the installation and testing of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor equipment installation and manage installation and cable design change documentation
  • Liaison between shipbuilder and Combat System Executive Agent for equipment installation issues and problem resolution
  • Work with Aegis Test Teams to resolve equipment and cable installation issues
  • Identify lessons learned and resolve fiber optic repair issues
  • Ensure all installation deficiency issues are identified and documented
  • Assist shipyard in resolution of equipment installation issues
  • Liaison with Government shock team to identify and resolve shock related issues
Requirements
  • Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in a relevant field and 10 years of experience as a Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships (or 15+ years of experience without a degree)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Navy and Marine Corps Sector
  • A US DoD Secret security clearance is required
  • US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) experience
  • Equipment installations experience
  • System installations experience
