Recreation Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Aide to join our team at the City of Pharr. As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional recreational experiences to our community. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and coordinate various recreational programs and activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate recreational programs and activities, including aquatic programs.
• Inspect facilities for potential hazards and ensure a safe environment for participants.
• Report any broken equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide customer service and respond to telephone inquiries regarding recreational programs and registration details.
• Develop and administer engaging recreation and athletic programs tailored to the community's needs.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of safety hazards and essential precautions.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals and techniques of various sports, fitness, cultural, and arts activities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and community members.
• Positive and energetic approach to create a supportive atmosphere.
