Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations and client intake interviews to assess client needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Provide individual, group, family, marital, child, and adjunctive therapies as needed, within the limits of your expertise and credentials.
  • Manage client crises, including on-call services and school consults, and make recommendations for interventions as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and program records in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education activities to stay current in your area of expertise and meet requirements for professional staff membership.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of services and exchange of pertinent information.
  • Represent Hamilton Center as a resource person in your area of expertise, including presenting classes, speaking engagements, and agency consultation.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a mental health field is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in community-based mental health care are essential.
  • Demonstrate competence in assessment and treatment of chemically dependent clients, including obtaining and interpreting information in terms of dependence.
  • Knowledge of the natural history of dependence and relevant biological and sociocultural factors is necessary.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Demonstrate competence in assessment of and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the range of treatment needed and appropriate utilization of available treatment resources are necessary.
  • Valid driver's license in accordance with motor vehicle policy is required.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Licensed in the State of Indiana is preferred.
  • Maintain current crisis prevention/intervention certification.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
