About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly individual to assist in our bakery department as a Bakery Assistant. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our bakery area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
  • Assist customers in finding products and answering questions about our bakery offerings, including pricing and availability
  • Replenish and clean display cases, shelves, and other areas of the bakery department, ensuring a high level of presentation and quality
  • Perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Previous experience working in a retail or customer-facing role is preferred, but not required

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with frequent changes in temperature, humidity, and noise levels. You will also need to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Compensation:

The estimated hourly salary for this position is $20-$24 per hour, based on location and experience. This rate may vary depending on individual qualifications and performance.
