A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of our in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for every patient.

Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:
+ Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
+ Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
+ Ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching
+ Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
+ Administer and chart all prescribed medications
+ Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
+ Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews
+ Document required patient education efforts
+ Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
+ Assist in medication inventory maintenance
+ Lead a small patient care team
+ Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
+ Additional tasks as requested

Qualifications

+ Ability to problem solve

Education/Training:
+ Accredited nursing degree required
+ Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available
+ DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
+ New graduates encouraged to apply
