We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission. As a key player in the Document Platform team, you will contribute to building a unified and modernized document management system that integrates with multiple business applications to serve critical business processes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and execution of the technical roadmap of the foundational sub-area of the entire document management platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional product development teams, product managers, and customers to solve complex problems and ensure high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leverage your expertise to focus on one area in the document management domain and act as the functional tech lead for the cross-functional product development team.
  2. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and customers to coordinate and solve complex problems.
  3. Design and implement high-level and low-level designs of one foundational area of the new unified document platform, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance.
  4. Mentor and coach engineers and product community members to strengthen their technical expertise and knowledge.
  5. Promote engineering excellence, share best practices, and improve processes within and across teams.
Requirements
  • Fluency in at least two modern languages such as Java, Golang, Python, or C# with object-oriented design experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of building data-intensive large-scale distributed systems with a focus on fault-tolerance and throughput.
  • Experience with micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines, as well as infrastructure as a code.
  • In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms, with experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
Benefits and Salary

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $230,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including Premier Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, Sick, and Parental Leave, 401(k) Plan, Tuition Reimbursement, and Paid Training and Licensures. Benefits may vary by location, and eligibility requirements apply.
