Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their communication and language goals and will have experience working with children in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Therapy and Intervention: Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language, and social communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support students' overall educational progress.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Consultation: Offer guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to improve communication skills and manage speech and language challenges.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Knowledge of current speech and language assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
