Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wellspring Nurse Source. This is a travel position for an Ultrasound Technologist, offering the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and locations.

About the Role

  • Perform general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and small parts imaging, as ordered by the physician.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary based on the patient's condition and the area of study.
  • Analyze images for quality and accuracy, documenting findings and preparing preliminary technical reports for physician review.
  • Maintain and sanitize ultrasound equipment and transducers following infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic information.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to established procedures, including monitoring for adverse reactions and maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is preferred; new graduates from accredited programs may be considered.
