Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Armed Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to detect and prevent potential security threats
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, including issuing identification badges and conducting background checks
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve security protocols
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid state-issued armed guard card/license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of security software
Work Environment

The Armed Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to inclement weather, standing/sitting/walking for long periods of time, and emergency situations.
