Overview
The Investment Portfolio Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing analytical support related to financial, credit, and market trends for The Ladders. This position is responsible for assessing credit applications, aiding in the formulation of credit structures, and overseeing credit relationships to ensure compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Exception process alongside Assistant Relationship Managers.
- Gather and review overdue financial statements and exceptions.
- Evaluate incoming financial statements for compliance and acceptability.
- Examine Compliance Certificates and Borrowing Base Certificates.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan proposals within established timelines.
- Perform biannual reviews for all credit relationships.
- Regularly assess portfolio risk grades, focusing on those rated 5 or lower.
- Ensure timely underwriting of loans approaching maturity.
- Propose credit structures and execute necessary action plans.
- Independently prepare and deliver Loan Reviews.
- Demonstrate skills in legal documentation, negotiation, and loan closure.
- Engage with clients for new credit support and ongoing account management.
- Assist in the administration of problem loans as needed.
- Participate in mandatory Compliance training sessions.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in finance is preferred, or equivalent experience in Credit and Commercial Lending, particularly in cash flow and collateral analysis. Completion of a formal Credit Training program is preferred, or equivalent experience as a Credit Analyst. Proficiency in financial analysis and credit structuring is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, financial spreadsheet systems, Salesforce, and PrecisionLender is required.
