As a Specialized Process Engineering Specialist, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing operations, focusing on high-precision processes essential for both commercial and defense applications. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our production methodologies, particularly in specialized areas such as plating, heat treatment, and welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Nadcap certification standards for specialized processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering to uphold Nadcap requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing and measurement throughout various production stages to manage process variables effectively.
- Identify and resolve production challenges promptly.
- Propose and evaluate new equipment and materials to enhance production efficiency.
- Oversee SAP Work Orders, Routing, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Lead root cause analysis initiatives and prepare detailed failure analysis reports.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and streamline manufacturing processes on the shop floor.
- Drive ongoing improvements in yield, quality, cost, and productivity metrics.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) regulations.
- Develop and refine tooling for both existing and new product lines.
- Assist in researching and justifying capital equipment investments.
- Manage nonconforming materials effectively.
- Facilitate annual process audits for Nadcap accreditation.
- Stay updated with PRI requirements and address audit findings with corrective measures.
- Contribute to the design and organization of assembly areas for optimal efficiency.
- Design and sequence operations, ensuring adherence to mandatory modifications.

- Experience with Nadcap systems in a production environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Background in related manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of root cause corrective action methodologies like Six Sigma.
