Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team as an algorithm developer in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will be part of Northrop Grumman's Global Mission Command and Control Department, working on various teams within programs such as IBCS, NAREW, IFC, FAAD C2, and/or IRADs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, prototype, analyze, and implement target tracking, target discrimination, and battle management algorithms
  • Implement algorithms in a prototype environment
  • Perform comparative data analysis to assess algorithm performance
  • Review the content and details of technical products
Requirements
  • Level 2: 2 years with Bachelor's in Science; 0 years with Master's in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • Principal: 5 years with Bachelor's degree; 3 years with Master's
  • Ability to design and prototype algorithms
  • Ability to perform data post-processing and performance analysis
  • Strong MATLAB, Java, Python, or Mathematica skills
  • Active secret security clearance
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in battle management and fire control research and algorithm development in support of DoD programs
  • Able to apply complex mathematical models

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $124,000, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
