Educational Requirements: An Associate degree in nursing, a registered nurse diploma, or a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee medical and health-related issues for pediatric services.
- Ensure proper management and inventory of medications.
- Monitor adherence to OSHA regulations concerning blood-borne pathogens.
- Maintain medical supply inventory for early childhood programs.
- Regularly update client medical records in the designated system.
- Document any incidents of injury or treatment.
- Conduct physical assessments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with local healthcare professionals for client case management.
- Participate in training sessions and conferences as required.
- Maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid, providing training as necessary.
- Offer routine medical guidance to parents upon request.
- Facilitate staff training on relevant health topics.
- Act as the first responder to emergencies.
- Administer respiratory treatments or supervise trained personnel in doing so.
- Monitor vital signs, treat wounds, and assess patient conditions.
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for further medical care when necessary.
- Review medical histories of enrolled clients and provide staff training.
- Ensure all educational settings and transport vehicles are equipped with necessary medical supplies.
- Conduct initial screenings for potential service candidates.
- Perform safety inspections at various locations as assigned.
- Deliver training to staff at pediatric sites as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Stay informed about trends in developmental disabilities and best practices.
- Exhibit professionalism and sound judgment in nursing decisions.
- Support continuity and quality of care for children and families.
- Assist with compliance regarding consumer-directed care regulations.
- Support the training department with clinical orientations as needed.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety practices within the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Candidates must possess an Associate degree in nursing, a registered nurse diploma, or a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, along with current licensure as a registered nurse in Arkansas. A deep understanding of children with special needs and early childhood development is required.

Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing correspondence and effectively presenting information in various settings.
Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to use hands, stand, walk, and reach. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are necessary for this role.
