Essential Functions

As a Radiology Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
  • Documenting patient care given.
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Providing monitoring for moderate sedation as needed by the radiologist when performing interventional procedures.
  • Assisting with non-sedated interventional procedures within the radiology and mammography departments.
  • Providing stress test monitoring and administration of pharmaceuticals as ordered by the provider.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Kentucky RN state licensure or Compact licensure.
