Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Location: Duluth, MN
Position Highlights:
- Seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time role with a commitment of 1.0 FTE.
- Engage in a 14-day on/14-day off schedule within a specialized inpatient unit for children and adolescents.
- No outpatient responsibilities are required.
About Our Behavioral Health Division:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of 9 adult psychiatrists and 4 child and adolescent psychiatrists, all contributing to a comprehensive behavioral health program.
- This role operates within a full-time hospitalist model for child psychiatry in an inpatient setting.
- Manage an average caseload of 12 patients, aged 6 to 18 years.
- Work alongside a robust inpatient team that includes family therapists, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, and behavioral health technicians, all dedicated to delivering exceptional programming.
- Participate in overnight call duties, averaging 1 in 8 days.
- Benefit from immediate access to hospital medical services, including pediatric consultations and comprehensive lab and imaging facilities.
- Our facility offers Partial Hospitalization Programming and state-of-the-art mental health and substance abuse services tailored for children and adolescents.
- Recognized as a NACHRI designated children's hospital, part of a larger medical campus.
- The Behavioral Health Department provides a full spectrum of care, including inpatient psychiatric services, consult-liaison psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient services, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic.
- The inpatient unit for children and adolescents consists of 16 beds, while the adult unit accommodates 37 beds.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
