About the Position

CLASP seeks a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Policy Specialist to join our Climate Team. This is a full-time position based in the US, Europe, or China. The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of energy-efficient solutions for motors and industrial products.

Job Summary

We are looking for an expert in energy policy program design and implementation, with 10+ years of experience in the energy or environmental field. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy efficiency technologies and policies, particularly for motors and industrial products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review energy efficiency policies for motors and industrial equipment
  • Represent CLASP in external forums and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Provide technical expertise on motor technologies and efficiency standards
  • Support fundraising and partnership efforts through proposal development and engagement with donors and partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, international relations, environmental science and policy)
  • Masters' degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience with Excel and/or other analytical software
  • Persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent written and spoken English
