Full-Time Opportunity
The MRI Imaging Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
- Acquire high-quality MRI scans of patients, demonstrating proficiency in established imaging protocols while adapting them as necessary.
- Adhere to MRI safety protocols for both patients and staff, utilizing protective gear when required. Operate the MRI equipment with skill and ensure patient safety by screening for any contraindications, including but not limited to, cardiac devices, metallic fragments, jewelry, and other potential hazards.
- Exhibit competence in performing essential computer tasks (e.g., Meditech and PACS). Ensure accurate billing and verify orders from referring physicians.
- Provide patient care with professionalism and courtesy.
- Prepare MRI rooms for procedures, monitor supply inventory during rotations, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Skilled in establishing IV access and administering contrast materials.
- Review each MRI for technical precision (including quality, positioning, and annotations) and complete the verification process in PACS.
- Assist the PACS Administrator and MRI Supervisor with the management of PACS data, including unarchived images and other administrative tasks.
- Fulfill and maintain ongoing educational requirements.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient and employee information in accordance with established policies.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist
Full-Time Role
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
EDUCATION
- Required: Graduate from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Responsible for maintaining continuing education credits as required by the ARRT for licensure.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification within six months of employment (mandatory).
- ARRT- MRI Technologist or ARMRIT certification within six months of employment (mandatory).
- Current CPR certification (mandatory).
- Preferred: At least one year of experience as a certified MRI technologist.
