Position Summary and Qualifications
A registered professional nurse is accountable for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Additionally, the registered professional nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises, and evaluates patient education and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient flow of surgical patients, including screening and assessments.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and medication instructions.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced certifications (i.e., CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
- One or more years of experience as an OR RN required.
- One year of RN acute care experience required.
