Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UAB Health System. As a key member of our Radiology Operations team, you will be responsible for performing radiological procedures with minimal supervision, utilizing your technical expertise and independent judgment to produce high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain accreditation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography or registry eligible required; must become registered within one year of hire date.
  • CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • One year of experience in general radiography preferred.
