EHS Specialist

This role is focused on ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across manufacturing operations. The EHS Specialist will manage risk assessments, conduct safety audits, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the reporting and investigation of accidents or near-miss incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety protocols and environmental practices by evaluating current procedures and driving enhancements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and sustainability goals are met.
- Oversee proper waste disposal, hazardous materials management, and energy efficiency initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of safety experience.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations.
- Strong communication, written, and computer skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience working with Regulatory Agencies such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, and others.
