As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing safety support and ensuring the well-being of our employees and contractors working at the Nevada National Security Site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Safety Support: Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Regularly inspect work sites to identify potential or existing hazards and investigate incidents to determine root causes.
- Develop and Implement Safety Training: Create and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on safety protocols and procedures.
- Enforce Safety Regulations: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a safety-first culture and ensure effective communication.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in occupational safety, with a strong background in safety regulations and standards.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Certifications: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
- Competitive Salary: Annual salary range: $94,000 - $141,000.
