Job Summary

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Specialist to join our Occupational Safety & Industrial Hygiene (OS&IH) Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing safety support and ensuring the well-being of our employees and contractors working at the Nevada National Security Site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Safety Support: Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct Site Inspections: Regularly inspect work sites to identify potential or existing hazards and investigate incidents to determine root causes.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Training: Create and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Enforce Safety Regulations: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a safety-first culture and ensure effective communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in occupational safety, with a strong background in safety regulations and standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
