Role Responsibilities:
As a clinical instructor, you will:
- Execute the College's educational philosophy, curriculum, and program objectives through effective clinical instruction and community service.
- Manage all aspects of your teaching responsibilities independently.
- Design clinical experiences and provide direct oversight and assessment of nursing students as they deliver care.
- Be accessible to agency staff for collaboration and support.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback aligned with course objectives.
- Offer remediation support to students as necessary.
- Stay informed about agency policies and procedures with assistance from clinical personnel.
- Create and assign clinical tasks that reflect students' knowledge and skill levels.
- Timely evaluate and return assignments, quizzes, and other assessments.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of academic programs and the College's initiatives.
- Possibly deliver didactic content under the guidance of the course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator updated on student and agency matters.
- Collaborate with college administration and faculty to enhance operational efficiency and student satisfaction.
- Engage in the College Assessment Program and retention strategies.
- Serve as a professional exemplar in customer service, teamwork, communication, and overall professionalism.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to facilitate group problem-solving and consensus-building.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Report to the dean or course coordinator regarding program matters.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A valid and unrestricted nursing license in Hawaii.
- A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years.
- Preferred experience in teaching or precepting.
- A genuine enthusiasm for nursing, education, and continuous professional development.
- Strong subject matter expertise with excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care.
- A sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute positively to the community.
- Licensure in Illinois will be required prior to accepting any clinical assignments.

Compensation Information:
The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on various job-related factors.
