Akumin is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality PET/CT images and studies, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images using PET/CT technology.
- Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments.
- Trains new technologists and PC's to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Troubleshoots scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
- State license, as required.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
- 1-2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- May be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport.
- Exposed to radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation.
- May be exposed to radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
Akumin offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
