Role Summary

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection and safety of warehouse inventory, facilities, and personnel for a leading online retailer.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a dynamic and modern fulfillment center, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing access control for staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Conducting foot patrols to prevent and identify stock loss
  • Performing bag and body searches with hand-held metal detectors
  • Utilizing walk-through scanners for screening individuals
  • Professionally managing incidents, including positive searches
  • Addressing customer inquiries and requests
  • Maintaining accurate records through both digital and paper systems

Work Schedule

The role guarantees an average of 40 hours per week, following a 6-on / 3-off shift pattern that includes both day and night shifts. As the distribution center operates around the clock, reliability and flexibility are essential to support your team members as needed.

Qualifications

An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is mandatory. To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The capacity to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably in security
  • A five-year verifiable history and references
  • The ability to pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards

Desirable Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience in a similar security role
