Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL B Local Delivery Driver to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate a straight truck in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
  • Load and unload products from the truck, using a hand cart or other equipment as needed.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain signatures as required.
  • Communicate with customers and resolve any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
  • One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
  • Ability to read and understand English and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent lifting of products up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of products up to 80 lbs. You must also be able to climb on and off the truck and work in confined spaces.
