Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Operate plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials, controlling stockpile inventory and maintaining certified products.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, documenting items in need of repair or service.
  • Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials, removing clogged materials when necessary.
  • Assist with maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and minor repairs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
  • A basic knowledge of the concrete, cement, or construction industry is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, as well as tolerate exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.
  • Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance is required.
