Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in our Labor and Delivery unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to facility protocols. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality patient care, prioritizing safety and well-being
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Monitoring patients' conditions, identifying potential complications, and taking prompt action to address them
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure informed decision-making
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current unrestricted RN license in the state
- Previous work experience as an RN, preferably in labor and delivery or a related field
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
Workplace Conditions
This role requires frequent lifting, bending, and reaching, with occasional exposure to chemicals, radiation, infectious diseases/waste, and blood-borne pathogens. You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, using proper techniques to manage physical demands.
