Job Overview

Position: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Diversified Technical Services, Inc. is in search of a skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to implement security measures, protocols, and controls in alignment with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF). This role will be integral to a dynamic team focused on providing expert guidance and leading initiatives to secure Authority to Operate (ATO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain an Information System Security Plan in accordance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.
  • Maintain and update the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Oversee Configuration Management Plans to ensure security integrity.
  • Conduct audits and assess STIG findings, updating .ckl files in eMass as necessary.
  • Facilitate information system contingency planning and execute related exercises.
  • Lead efforts to address vulnerabilities identified through security scans.
  • Manage security incidents effectively.
  • Ensure system health as per directives from DISA Task Orders (DTO).
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits, testing, and evaluations.
  • Draft vulnerability management plans and prepare security impact assessments for system releases.
  • Keep current with NIST requirements relevant to all applicable RMF controls for ATO renewals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT role with a focus on systems and/or networks, particularly in developing security protocols and best practices.
  • At least 3 years' experience in implementing and assessing security controls for eMASS (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of DISA Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Familiarity with the DISA Cyber Exchange (formerly IASE).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Cloud One security environments (preferred).

Security Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security+ce or higher is mandatory.

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
