About the Role

This full-time position involves providing oral hygiene and preventive services to dental patients at our center. The successful candidate will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the oral health of all clinic patients.
  • Conduct baseline oral hygiene assessments using accepted principles and record data accurately.
  • Provide individualized oral health education and counseling for patients.
  • Offer clinical oral hygiene services including scaling, sealant application, and fluoride treatment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate patient dental care with overall health management.
  • Organize and deliver oral health presentations at various locations.
  • Support community outreach and technical assistance as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and adhere to protocols and policies.
  • Perform delegated procedures under dentist supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper disposal of contaminated materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in dental hygiene.
  • Current licensure to practice oral hygiene in Pennsylvania.
  • Public Health Certification or progress towards certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a dental hygienist.
