Job Summary

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co. LLC, a leading global paper products company, seeks a skilled Senior Buyer to join its Liquid Packaging Board Division in Longview, WA. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day procurement activities and strategic procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all purchases are made in accordance with risk management processes, including the utilization of proper contract documents and sourcing agreements.
  • Conduct negotiations based on total cost of ownership (TCO) and strive for optimal business and operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain healthy vendor and customer partnerships, pre-qualify contractors, and verify suppliers' insurance and safety credentials.
  • Procure professional services, MRO, operational supplies, contractor services, raw and direct materials.
  • Collaborate with technical counterparts to comprehend technical specifications, lead sourcing, negotiate capital equipment terms, and conduct procurement.
  • Analyze global supply chain risk and develop contingency plans for direct materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum.
  • Minimum of 7 years of capital procurement experience.
  • Firm understanding of FEL capital assessment.
  • Formal negotiation training.
  • SAP proficiency.
  • Effective public speaker and presenter.
  • Pulp & Paper experience (desired).
