Pharmacy Specialist

About this role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Canyon Home Care & Hospice. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care by ensuring accurate and efficient medication management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label medications in blister cards and vials
• Prepare non-sterile and sterile compounds
• Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
• Process inbound prescriptions and billing of prescriptions using computer software
• Triage phone calls from other health professionals
• Utilize software to change, update, and print labels
• Measure dosage of medications and perform simple calculations
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a long-term or retail pharmacy preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
