Job Description

Children's Health is seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve Polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Polysomnographic Procedures: Follow Department Operating Procedures and Procedural Protocols to ensure the collection of appropriate data. Monitor study-tracing quality to ensure signals are kept artifact-free.
  • Score Studies: Analyze complex situations and apply procedures and policies. Score studies when required.
  • Prepare Equipment: Calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning. Apply electrodes and sensors according to Department Operating Procedures for patient hookup.
  • Provide Patient Care: Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient and present caregivers. Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of job-related experience. Preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements.
  • Current registry by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). Upon Hire.
