Key Responsibilities

The Vice Chancellor will lead the Environmental Health & Safety Office, focusing on the development and execution of policies aimed at enhancing laboratory safety and environmental stewardship. This role encompasses significant authority in maintaining compliance and managing various elements of environmental health and safety, including:

1. **Biohazard Management**
2. **Radiation Safety**
3. **Hazardous Materials Oversight**
4. **Hazardous Waste Management**

The Vice Chancellor will also oversee compliance inspections and audits for laboratories handling both hazardous and non-hazardous materials, establishing and upholding chemical safety standards and best practices.

Educational Initiatives
