Auto Body Paint Specialist

TRINI AUTO INC. is seeking a skilled Auto Body Paint Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Paint Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition.
Key Responsibilities- Damage Assessment and Repair Planning
Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed.
Surface PreparationSand body areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint.
Welding and RepairFits and welds replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grinds down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools.
Painting and FinishingPrimes and paints repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders.
Vehicle Disassembly and ReassemblyRemoves damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders and wrenches, and installs replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment.
Alignment and AdjustmentChains or clamps frames and sections to alignment machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components.
Dent Repair and FillingFills small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder.
Surface SmoothingFiles, grinds, sands and smooths filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
Upholstery and Trim RemovalRemoves upholstery, accessories, electrical window and seat operating equipment, and trims to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.
Frame and Body RepairPositions dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beats opposite surfaces to remove dents, using hammers.
Resin Mixing and ApplicationMixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas.
Vehicle Inspection and TestingAdjusts or aligns headlights, wheels, and brake systems.
Body Metal RepairRemoves small pits and dimples in body metal using pick hammers and punches.
Window and Trim InstallationFits and secures windows, vinyl roofs, and metal trim to vehicle bodies, using caulking guns, adhesive brushes, and mallets.
Panel Removal and IdentificationRemoves damaged panels and identifies the family and properties of the plastic used on a vehicle.
Cleanliness and OrganizationCleans work areas, using air hoses, to remove damaged material and discarded fiberglass strips used in repair procedures.
