Radiology Technologist

Job Summary

Vaughan Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer general and specific X-rays, following prescribed techniques and ensuring patient safety.
• Determine the appropriate technique for ionizing radiation during radiologic exams, taking into account patient needs and medical requirements.
• Prepare barium preparations and other chemical mixtures for X-rays, adhering to established protocols.
• Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting any unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.
• Develop film in accordance with photographic techniques, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
• Clean and disinfect X-ray rooms and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
• Prepare patients for X-rays, explaining procedures, transferring patients to tables, positioning patients, and assisting patients at the end of procedures.

Requirements

• Completion of an ARRT-accredited program in radiologic technology.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current CPR certification.
• State certifications or licensure as required by the state in which employed.
• One year of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting.
