Mailroom Assistant

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will perform backup duties to the reception area, along with various jobs within a corporate mailroom environment. This includes driving the company van to and from the Kenosha Post Office, internal mail route deliveries, operation of various office equipment, UPS shipping, sorting external/internal mail, delivering mail, lifting boxes of mail and supplies. Additionally, emptying shred-it bins, delivering paper and toner, and keeping supplies stocked. This role will serve as a fill-in shipping/receiving clerk at the Kenosha General Office facility.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the company van to and from the Kenosha Post Office
• Perform internal mail route deliveries
• Operate various office equipment, including postage machines, folder/stuffer machines, Xerox and Ricoh copiers
• Sort external/internal mail
• Deliver mail
• Lift boxes of mail and supplies
• Empty shred-it bins
• Deliver paper and toner
• Keep supplies stocked

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Certifiable to operate power equipment
• Switchboard experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to be on your feet 4-8 hours each day and walk 3 or more miles per day
• Ability to learn the operations of postage machines, folder/stuffer machines, Ricoh and Xerox copy machines, and other mailroom processes

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 4:30, with a 30-minute lunch daily. Hours subject to change with a day's notice. Ability to work longer than 8 hours a day on a day's notice for backup coverage.
