Position Overview:
Mead & Hunt, a leading professional services consulting firm, is on the lookout for a skilled civil engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic and innovative aviation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough analysis and preparing comprehensive engineering design reports, specifications, construction cost estimates, and plans for various airport development projects.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D for drafting tasks to create detailed plan sheets.
  • Supporting construction administration efforts, which may involve fieldwork at project sites, including weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Interpreting and applying FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to inform project designs.

Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be necessary for project-related activities.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
  • A PE license in any state, with the capability to obtain a Washington or Oregon PE license within one year of employment.

Preferred Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:

  • Designing pavements, grading, and drainage systems.
  • Using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D software.
  • Construction administration processes.
  • Creating design reports and technical specifications.
