Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant is a vital member of our rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Assist Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct physical therapy treatments, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
- Participate in service line process improvement projects and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to obtain a South Carolina license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- No experience required, but 1-2 years of applicable clinical experience preferred.
- BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
