Nurse Anesthetist Care Coordinator

Luke & Associates is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients.
Job SummaryAs a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, you will be responsible for managing patient anesthesia experience, performing preoperative evaluations and preparations, administering monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitoring and managing patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, managing fluid therapy, performing and managing invasive monitoring, and performing post-operative evaluations. Additionally, you will be responsible for advising anesthesiologists of adverse reactions, assisting with staff training, and participating in professional staff conferences.
Responsibilities- Manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations.
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations, including obtaining informed consent from patients, requesting consultations and/or diagnostic studies, and ordering pre-anesthetic medications.
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care, including assessing patients' physiologic homeostasis and correcting abnormal responses to anesthesia and/or surgery.
- Collect and interpret patient physiological data, manage patients' airways and pulmonary status, and manage patients' emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
- Record all pertinent events taking place during anesthesia care, including the dosage and duration of all anesthetic agents, other drugs, intravenous fluids, and blood or blood components.
- Advise anesthesiologists of adverse reactions, take appropriate actions, and assist with staff training.
To be eligible for this role, you must have a Master's degree in nursing, be certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and have experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia. You must also have practiced within the specialty within the last 2 years and have experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia. Additionally, you must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate and be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and performing all services required.
Working ConditionsThis position offers a competitive salary, with an estimated annual salary of $125,000 - $175,000 based on the location and industry standards. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, you will be required to work Monday through Friday, 0700 - 1830 or until the last patient is in phase 1 recovery. The schedule will be published as a 30-day schedule in advance, and you will be required to work a minimum of one day per week. Flexible scheduling will be available, and you will be expected to be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
