Job Title: Field Representative

Thomas & Hutton is a leading civil engineering firm seeking a skilled Field Representative to join our team in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform routine construction observation services for land development projects. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between our supervisor or Project Manager and contractor, ensuring effective administration of construction contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct construction site observations and provide regular reports to the project team.
  • Communicate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist Project Managers in administering construction contracts and ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare project-related correspondence and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and client needs.
  • Visit project sites to review conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and resource agencies as required.
  • Maintain a daily job log and be familiar with project plans and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Construction Management degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous internship or experience in the construction field.
  • Familiarity with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control, CEPCI certification a plus.
  • Strong communication, verbal, and written skills.
  • Ability to produce concise reporting.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
