Key ResponsibilitiesThe RN will:
- Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments of patients to identify their healthcare needs.
- Establish nursing diagnoses and develop a detailed written plan of care tailored to each patient.
- Implement the care plan effectively while evaluating its outcomes and making necessary adjustments.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding and supporting team members in maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
- Supervise both licensed and non-licensed nursing staff within the assigned unit.
- Exhibit flexibility in scheduling, accommodating various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure consistent patient care.
Education: An Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong verbal communication skills to articulate nursing concepts and practices.
- Capacity to take responsibility and lead nursing care coordination.
- Cognitive and practical skills to deliver age-appropriate nursing care based on patient diagnosis.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Licenses: A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama is mandatory.
