GENERAL OVERVIEW:
  • The individual will execute Field and Sustainment maintenance Level support/augmentation, which encompasses: Production oversight, Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, as well as the maintenance and repair of aircraft, including the launch and recovery processes prior to and following flight operations.
  • Engagement in specialized workshops linked to Field level maintenance fixed base operations is expected, alongside troubleshooting and maintenance repairs on the flight line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose issues in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing systems, pneudraulics engines, auxiliary power units, and environmental control systems.
  • Conduct repairs, replacements, and refurbishments of aircraft structures.
  • Proficiently read and interpret manufacturer and technical manuals.
  • Carry out preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance checks.
  • Capable of jacking and towing aircraft as necessary.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities in logbooks.
  • Possess Army experience in rotary wing flight line and organizational/intermediate level maintenance.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of recent verifiable experience is mandatory.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • MOS 15R graduate or equivalent training is essential.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include criminal history and credit checks for access to Government facilities.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

To successfully perform this role, an individual must be capable of executing each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed.   • Ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, utilize finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May need to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to observe aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, and identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Ability to detect imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and detect sounds audibly.
  • Capability to distinguish colors and assess three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklifts, APU, etc.
