About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer with Cambridge Security Services, you will play a vital role in protecting people and property. Your responsibilities will include armed foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling access, and deterring criminal activity. Additionally, you will respond to emergencies, investigate suspicious activity, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular patrols (foot and vehicle) of designated areas to ensure a secure environment.
  • Respond quickly to alarms or emergencies and communicate with law enforcement if necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and security systems to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Ensure authorized personnel gain access to the premises while maintaining a secure environment.
  • Write detailed reports on incidents and suspicious activity to aid in the prevention of future security breaches.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with the public, employees, and visitors to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a current D & G License (Required) to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
  • Must have one year of armed security experience preferred to demonstrate expertise in security protocols.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Must pass a mental health assessment and drug screening to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Must be 21 years or older to meet minimum age requirements.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions to adapt to changing environments.
  • Physically able to perform regular patrols, which may involve standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods to maintain a secure environment.
