We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering team at Intuit Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability, scalability, and performance of our applications and services.

**Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop web applications and backend services using Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Continuously improve the scalability and UI response times of our applications.
  • Owning the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications and services, including production on-call support shifts, construction of monitoring solutions, and improving deployment automation.
  • Perform performance engineering, load and stress analysis of large-scale microservices, including pre-load test planning and design and post-load test analysis.
  • Automate everything and ensure our systems are bulletproof and super-fast, including upgrading existing services with Hystrix or building in canary release automation.
  • Create reusable libraries and patterns in an open-source contribution model.
  • Support and coach other engineers, pair programming or peer reviewing code, and help ensure all engineers are growing and part of a community.
  • Help us achieve our mission of getting a pull request to production quickly and automatically while maintaining the highest operational standards.

**Qualifications**

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science.
  • Experience coding in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Kotlin.
  • Experience developing applications and services using Kubernetes, Docker, Spring, React, HTML/DOM, CSS, NoSQL Technologies like Cassandra, Dynamo, Redis.
  • Experience or interest in learning how to make services more robust through usage of Hystrix and circuit breaker patterns.
  • Experience creating applications that operate in AWS, utilizing native AWS services when appropriate, and building stacks using CloudFormation.
  • Experience with collaborative software development using GitHub.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices such as Agile/Iterative development, test-driven development, and load testing.
  • Reviewable open-source contributions would be a plus.
