Occupational Therapist for Children with Autism

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soar Autism Center in Phoenix, Arizona. As a member of our interdisciplinary clinic, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to young children with autism and their families.

About the Role- You will design and execute naturalistic occupational therapy for young children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment.
- You will develop targeted interventions to enhance clients' gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and performance in other daily activities.
- You will conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including conducting co-treatments with the speech therapy team.
- You will provide coaching and mentorship to a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
- You will regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
- Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
Soar Autism Center is creating a network of interdisciplinary clinics dedicated to helping children with autism and their families thrive. Our services include naturalistic therapy (Early Start Denver Model), speech therapy, occupational therapy, mental health services, and diagnostic services, all designed to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to care.
What We Offer- An estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
