Job Summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a full-time, permanent position at a 240-bed full-service, acute care hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operative procedures, including the selection and placement of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist surgeons and designated assistants in invasive procedures, passing instruments and supplies and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
  • Provide instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedures.
  • Prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis, and apply dressings as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and microbiology to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
  • Respond to emergency situations and surgical procedures in the operating room, utilizing your knowledge and skills to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or degree from a Surgical Technology Program.
  • Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Will consider new graduates.
