Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Class A Driver to join our team in the field of environmental services. As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment at customer sites, ensuring the safe transportation and handling of hazardous waste materials.
Key Responsibilities- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed, maintaining a safe and team-oriented work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and procedures, prioritizing the health and safety of yourself and others.
- Load and unload trucks, perform manual labor on site, and properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and reports, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in emergency response efforts on a rotating basis, responding to site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling situations.
- Valid Class A CDL with the ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to use various mobile devices and perform physical functions required for the job.
- Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical, as required by the position.
- Commercial driver experience, particularly in hazardous waste management.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, as well as previous experience with hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission and previous manual labor experience.
