About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Global Fleet and Products Analytics team at Amazon. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping how we use data to support strategic initiatives in the Last Mile space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advisory to business teams and leaders, aligning technical and business needs.
  • Engineer critical input and output metrics to measure operational performance, identify root causes, and prescribe action plans for delivery stations globally.
  • Manage metrics across multiple projects simultaneously, working with product, technology, and analytics teams to support the development of tools and dashboards.
  • Communicate with and support various internal stakeholders and external audiences, leveraging data visualization tools to drive insights.
  • Learn, explore, apply, and gain expertise in internal Amazon data and public AWS products, including Glue, Redshift, Quicksight, and Lambda.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, and experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines, as well as statistical analysis packages like R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift, as well as data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
